Dra. Fernanda López Escobedo

Fernanda López Escobedo has a Bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Language and Literature at UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) a Master’s degree in Applied Lingusitics and a PhD in Language Sciences and Applied Linguistics at Universidad Pompeu Fabra (Pomepu Fabra University) in Barcelona, Spain. She has a degree in Applied Statistics at the Instituto de Investigaciones en Matemáticas Aplicadas y Sistemas (Research on Applied Mathematics and Systems Institute), UNAM. Currently she is studying a Law degree at UNAM.
She has participated in projects related to language technologies and forensic linguistics in Spain and Mexico, has organized several academic events within the UNAM, and has participated in conferences and courses at national and international level. She has academic and divulgation publications in the field of language technologies and forensic linguistics.
Currently, she is a full-time academic professor in Forensic Science from UNAM. She collaborates with the Linguistic Engineering Group from the Engineering Institute at UNAM and with the ForensicLab at at Universidad Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona. She is member of the National System of Researchers.
